:bademoticon: Hey everyone! Just wanted to write a journal and let you know what's been going on!  
I have been away for a while, and ill be honest, I do not use this site as much as I used to. Nowadays, I mostly use it as a secondary place to upload my drawings. Usually, this is pretty inconsistent and not up to date with my current queue. DA has become a backlog for me, a place where I can put higher resolution pieces that I have finished and posted elsewhere. 
If you want to keep up to date with what I am doing, please follow me on Twitter! I am @JikaMocha_Latte   I am most active on there, posting about commission openings, raffles, trades, etc. It is also the first place I put new artworks! I also occasionally will share WIPs and other things. It is also the best place to get a hold of me if you want to chat or have any questions!

Well hello everyone! Long time no see!
Needless to say, life has gotten way too busy. It has been a rollercoaster these past few years   I started college 4 years ago, and well, let's just say things didn't go as planned, haha. I got 2 1/2 years into chemical engineering and had a mental break down, took a gap year, got diagnosed with ADHD, and finally admitted to myself that I should have gone to art school all along. It has been a long haul, but I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. I am a better person for it now. 
In other news, I have been arting pretty heavily for a while, so expect some new stuff to be flooding y'all's faces haha  I have a ton of traditional art that I need to upload. Everything from last year's Inktober, to character design drawings, and everything in between. I also have been nearly religiously playing dungeons and dragons, so expect a few drawings of my characters from those. 
I look forward to seeing all my old and new friends on here again. Hope to hear from you!

Hello again everyone. So, I just have just one question to ask you.

How would you feel about me posting some of my photography?

I have been taking a lit lately (granted, most is of my horse and my friend's horse) but that is really what I am doing now. I have some other 3D origami sculptures I can post, but I have not had the time to make a whole bunch of them.

School and getting ready for college had really taken a damper on my free time. I am so sorry that I have been neglecting you guys. I really should try to make the time.

Hello again, everybody. Man, it has been such a ridiculous amount of time since I have been on here. BUT! I do have a few reasons as to why. please, just bear with as I give you a slice of Jika's life.

SO, reason 1: my laptop.
                    As many of you know, I do a lot of digital work, but I also have to edit my scanned in traditional work because my scanner hates me. In all unfortunate events, my laptop is dying. She is on her last leg, guys. The fan is busted, the hard-drive is about to give up (i have an external one for my saved things) and she lags. A lot. Any digital artists out there know that lagging is our worst enemy, next at artist's block, I think. I need to invest in a new laptop soon, but I first need to save up enough money. And with taking my horse to the National Youth Show this year, that is going to be a difficult feat. And, I cannot do very much UNTIL I get a new laptop  
                    I do have a question, though, what are your favorite brands/ types of laptops and what kind do you use?

Reason 2: school
                    My education here recently has taken a turn for the worse. I am studying around 3 hours every night, and that does not include the compositions due every week and all the maths that I do every night. As some might deduce, that strain on time puts a huge dent in my art life. It has been so much so that I barely get things finished that I do for others, much less any personal works. This should start to calm down around April/May, but that is when all my summer projects start.

Reason 3: sick
                    Yes, you hears me. The invincible Jika has been struck down in arms! But, really. All laughs aside, I really am sick. I think I posted a journal a while ago about me having mono. That is still going on. My endurance to do anything in nothing like it used to be. I am tired all the time, and there are days that I just cannot get out of bed to do anything. Given the chance, I sleep for 15 hours on a regular basis. I have to force myself to get through some days. It is awful. I have no motivation to do anything, much less the energy to do so. I am on some meds that should help, but I see no effects thus far.

Reason 4: just life
                    Yes, guys, I do have a life on the outside. I have responsibilities and such to others and to myself. While I love each and everyone of you on this site, I just cannot ignore my outside life. One of the awful things about growing up.

GUYS!!! dO NOT GET THE WRONG IDEA. i WILL GET BACK ON HERE AS SOON AS i AM ABLE TO. Goodness, I really miss being a member on here.
I have been doing some photography on my phone that I could post on here. Would you guys like for me to post some of those??

So, a few questions for you wonderful people. Please bear with me. I just need to get a few things off my mind.

1. So, I am sure most of you have seen my origami sculptures. Well, I am wanting to make some more , but I am kind of lost as to where to start. I will be making some more dragons like my "Imperalistic Royality" one, but I want to make others. So, my question is, what do you think I should make? It could be an animal, plant, or something more abstract like "The Maw." Let me know!!

2. How many of you have read my "Secret Scars" story? I know I have not been the most faithful with updating it, but I do have more written. So, would you be intrested in more?

3. This concerns all my furry watchers. I have been thinking of how I made my fursona. Jika is very special to me, an she has been the character that has changed the most, yet stayed a constant at the same time. So, I wast to know how you made your fursona. I know that mine has not always been the fluffy purple and white cat I have now. I want to know your thoughts!!

(Ok, last one. If you have made it this far, have a cookie.)

4. As some of you have noticed, I have posted a few pages of things for sale. I have made so MANY paracord bracelets and keychains. I need to sell them so that I can make more. Please go take a look at them. They are not very expensive and I can ship world wide.
